How to Update Your Music Library on Sonos on PC or Mac
Have you ever wished that you could have your own theme music following your around?
Movies and television use soundtracks to explain what the characters are feeling, or hint at what’s coming next, but real life does no such thing—at least not without a little prompting.
Sonos can help you feel completely immersed in a playlist by playing it in a number of different rooms, so you might literally feel like it’s a soundtrack to your life. Of course, this is only possible if you update your library to fit your mood.
A Smarter Way to Listen
Given that we’re firmly in the 21st century now, it’s surprising that a company didn’t master whole home audio before Sonos, but that’s exactly the case. Not only do they produce high quality speakers, they provide software to go along with them that can work with digital assistants, like Alexa.
The next time you’re cleaning, doing laundry, or cooking dinner, treat yourself to a perfectly curated library of music with your Sonos sound system.
Controlling The Soundtrack
The easiest way to update your Sonos music library is with a desktop controller on your laptop or computer, and it doesn’t make much of a difference whether it’s a Mac or PC.
You can download the Sonos desktop controller for either operating system; once you open the program, you can import music from another program that’s already stored on your computer or start from scratch.
Once you’ve found where your music is stored, make sure you click “update music library now.” You can also choose to have your library update automatically in the future.
After all of this is done, you’ll be able to enjoy a hands free listening experience that seems to follow you around your home with all of your favorite songs.
